hi! my teacher gave me a case to be reported on our class. I don't know how will i present this... this is the case...
Grace, 1 year and 1 month old, 11 months prior to consultation, her caregiver noticed that the baby cannot recognize people around her despite the fact that the baby is already 3 months old.She informed the baby's parents however, they ignored the patient's condition for they thought that it was still normal for that age.
3 months prior to consultation, the caregiver became highly suspicious of the delayed development upon noticing that the baby was still not able to crawl nor sit at her age of 11 months. She also observed that sometimes there was an abnormal locking motion when she moves the patient's arms & legs. Patient's condition didn't improve and signs of motor delay were evident. This prompted them to consult a physician and checked the patient and noted a significant delay in motor development. The doctor diagnosed the patient to have Cerebral Palsy, Spastic Quadriplegia.
at present, the patient's condition remained status quo.
other findings: positive ATNR, NECK RIGHTING REFLEX & FOOT PLACEMETN REFLEX.
My question are: what will be my prognosis to the patient? can you give me the problem list which includes the problem, short-term or long-term goal, and treatment procedure? what will be my home program to the patient? thanx! i really need your responses as soon as possible... Consult the Guide to Physical Therapist Practice. What practice pattern have you placed the child?

What have you found on MEDLINE regarding the search string:

"cerebral palsy" AND prognosis
