I have just received a patient that has transverse myelitis. I am not sure what I can do to help treat this patient. He has lost most of his feeling and proprioception from the neck down due to a lesion at the C1-C2 level. Since the first three months are the most important, any suggestions that anyone may have will be greatly appreciated. My current plans are to keep his current range of motion, increase his strength, and work on proprioception and ambulation. Any suggestions on to how to do these things would be great.

Thank you in advance.
