Wondering if anyone knows the answer to this question as I'm trying to do my due diligence. I have the opportunity to buy a PT clinic that has been around for a long time. I understand buying the infrastructure and equipment, but, if I buy the clinic and keep the same tax ID can I use their already established contracts with the insurance companies? I have some of my own, but they have more, and the ones that they have and I don't have closed panels making it almost impossible to get into.

Anyone know how that aspect of buying of a PT company works?

Thanks

Well you can keep both but shouldn't bill the same insurance company with both companies, because you can get into trouble for that. I would try to get all the contracts into one company and you can talk with the provider relations about doing that. Once you get them joined into 1 company, then you can liquidate and dissolve the other company.
