I'm looking for input on the benefits of a home-use electromyography device (EMG). Full disclaimer - I'm considering starting a project to build such a device for patients to use as part of their home exercise routines.

Do you use EMG in the clinic?

Do you think a home-use EMG would be beneficial? If so, for what conditions/patient groups?

What are the pluses and what are the hurdles to such a setup?

Have you ever recommended a patient purchase a device to use at home (any type of device)? If so, how did it go?

Any input would be appreciated!

Yes it has its benefits. You just have to find a good company to work with. You can try Phoenix Medical, as they have very high quality machines.
