I recently got to read in a blog that hiking can be a new and exciting way to escape from your daily routine of exercise. If you do 30 minutes of daily moderate-intensity exercise several days per week, the same effect could be easily achieved with a low-intensity, two-mile hike. Yes hiking can be great but you need to have big hills or mountains to pull it off with some intensity. Running up and down hills is also a great exercise and will build up your stamina significantly.
