I am currently a PTA working in a SNF and am considering switching settings to work in home health. I was wondering if anyone can tell me what the pros/cons of home health are?

Pros: potentially flexible hours, pay should be above avg., being mobile (not stuck in one clinic for 8 hrs+), patient's can become like family,
cons: if you arent provided a vehicle youre gonna log miles on yours, depending on your area you may have to go to less than safe parts of town, may have to work weekends occasionally, some patients will spend most of the treatment session talking your ear off, some people have really dirty houses that smell.
to me (and I used to do HH) the pros outweigh the cons. I used to have an old beat up car that got good gas mileage so I didn't care about driving. If I didn't love what I do now, I would be doing HH in all likelihood.
