We use PTOS at our clinics and our billing staff is having difficulty determining the best way to bill for DME.  We have applied for and received our DME "certification" or what ever it is called but we are a little unsure about how to use the "L" codes with PTOS.  Any suggestions out there that I can pass to my billing staff?

Hi,
Sorry to be asking another question instead of providing an answer. Does anyone know if PT's can bill to write up a letter of medical necessity for a client needing DME. Generating the letter itself is time consuming and I was wondering if there was a code to be used to bill for this.
Thanks
