I got a rejection letter stating I did not get into the early admissions decision process. However, they said they would put my application into the regular application portion as most schools I'm sure would do the same thing.
Then they said according to last years scores, I would have been accepted into the program. They will make final decisions in a month and will contact me.
Does this mean I have a good chance of getting in? Because that would be a big kick in the ego if I get a rejection letter again from them later on. Can they tease me like that by saying I would have made it last year, but sorry, not this year.

Did you find out anything since since a month has passed. If your name is in the top 5 on a waitlist, that is, if you know what your place is, then chances are good. Many get accepted to schools of their choice but they got accepted to other schools. When they leave those on the waiting list get called.
