hi all i have a patient who suffered a stroke 4 months ago which was his second.he is a chronic dibetic and had a lesion in the right pons and cerebellum. had no strength deficits but inco-ordination was profound.he has recovered to a degree that he can walk in a park and is independent in his ADLs. but there is one problem,he had a complete facial palsy on the affected side which has shown no recovery. are there any treatment options available at this moment?and are there any chances of recovery? the neurologist thinks that he has not exercised his face and he should have recovered by now.. i tried some pnf stuff, mirror feedback and taught him deep massage.but nothing is working.
