Hi there!this is my first time here in this forum.I need help coz aside from my being a foreign graduate, it's been more than a decade! Im staying here in Canada for 5 yrs, did some PT tech work in Saudia for 3 yrs before that..in other words I wasnt really completely out of the system. I did dare took d exam this feb 21,08 of course as expected I failed!Im confused right now if I have to shift to another career but I think my calling is for PT!So i would like to give it another try...im not sure if self-studying is enough but thats how much I can do so if someone can help me referring the right materials,I'll appreciate it. Thanks.

What did you use for your review material for the exam? You also say you took the exam in February of this year. The exams format has been revised as pf 3/1/08 and worth looking at it at the following website, http://www.fsbpt.org In addition, you may want to review the exam you took to see what areas you had problems with. The following are two webpages to review material for the exam: http://www.therapyed.com http://www.scorebuilders.com/products.html

Thanks jma! I did study RG by Sullivan n Sigelmann.I even went to NJ for a review course by T. Hoerner for 10 days...sad to say it didnt help that much. I believe studying the right materials is the key...guess its mostly clinical application thats why I have difficulty...But then thnaks a lot for the sites u sent..for sure it will help me get starting again.Have a good day!

Here's a tip then. Although Sullivan's book was good, there was one review that had more clinical questions than the others I studied. It was, "Physical Therapist Examination Review", by Theresa Meyer, way back when. The outline review was way too basic though for review but their questions were great.

Thanks again for the response. Im just worried coz the exams starting March of this year already have 4 or 5 added topics and most of the books on sale right now arent that updated yet. So if anyone who knows about the latest book there is, I will be very grateful to hear from u. I did order latest Sullivan Sigelman already yesterday so if there is more I 'll appreciate it. Thanks.
