Have a friend who suffered a TBI in a plane crash 10 yrs ago, since then has had ongoing deficits, mainly visual field loss and balance deficits. A few months ago, his Single Leg Stance score was 2 seconds. On Thanksgiving, he was bitten by a rattlesnake and received 9 vials of antivenom. He reported noticing a good improvement in his functional balance since this incident, and today his SLS score was 10+ seconds. Does anyone have any idea how the snake incident could have resulted in this improvement?
