Well that was an interesting article James. In light of the link I posted regarding improved joint space AND improved knee scores I think they at least have a leg to stand on since surgery should typically be a last resort secondary to the inherent dangers associated with it. I wonder, if in the event NHS denies a TKA, would they be willing to pay for a gastric bypass for a person unable to lose weight with conservative measures?

Lateral rotation of the tibia. This is the normal motion for the tibia at terminal extension of the knee.
