johnczyk1 -> C7-t1 tingling/paresthesias (April 10, 2008 12:16:00 PM)

Currently have a 40 yo male who started to c/o lower cervical neck ache x3 weeks but now seems to c/o more of frequent intermittent prickly paresthesias across the C7-T1-2 area extending sometimes to UTs.These sxs occur on and off all day long minutes at a time until position is changed..It seems more tingly then painful now.Cervical AROM is full and painfree now but used to hurt a bit initially with retraction.at end range....there are no arm sxs .Occurs mostly with desk and computer work. He is better if keeps head supported or supine.Sitting by far is the worst instigator.It seems to eminate from C7-T1.Posture is forward head but still can get sxs even if correct posture is held.He is tender to palpation on the sides of c7 and T1 vertebrae.To me it seems like a problem with this area-hence the good ROM and relatively painfree neck motions.COuld this be a posterior bulge disc ???touching the dura mater????Again usually the sxs are tingling.His knee jerk reflexes seem a bit brisk but the ankles do not and the Babinski is negative...ANy ideas from anyone.????there have been no xrays done but  he does have LBP and frequent on and off leg pains too.Thax in advance.
JON
