pdtoal -> PTA recognition (March 10, 2008 8:31:44 PM)

Just wanted to here some thoughts on the PTA recognition of advanced proficiency. It seems a PTA can attain the advanced proficiency as long as they have 5 years of service, are an APTA member, and have kept up with CEU's. To me it seems like a way to get a little extra money from its PTA members( $85 non-refundable) and give them some false recognition. If we are going to try a set apart "average" PTA's from the "advanced" I think there should be something else factored in besides experience. I understand there isn't much extra (ex. OCS, NCS, etc.) for the PTA, but I believe there could be a better way. I'd love to hear a PTA's opinion on this as well.
