Dear David, I've just joined the site and wondered if you may be better off going on a PTA course first.  A PTA licence is halfway to a PT, yet only costs around $7000 for two years at a community college. You can always carry on to be a PT at a later date. I'm 59 yo and finish my two year associates PTA degree in August this year. I'm sorry if I've repeated some earlier advice, but as I said earlier, I only found this site an hour ago. Good luck for the future, Brian Moss.

Hi Brian,

I had thought of that and there is a program near me but it would mean quitting my job. If I could afford to quit my job immediately then I would definitely do a PT program which isn't much longer than the PTA. Lots of success to you and keep me posted on your progress especially as it relates to old geezers like us
