I have to wonder about the shiny spots on the forehead and chin - perhaps a diffuser would give us a better picture.

One of my trauma patients, riding in a car...face hit with metal pole that fell off a truck.  This is a great example of what kind of fracture?  (not important that you know this...but is interesting)

I 'am goint to go with a "tripod" (zygomaticomaxillary) fracture ruling out the le fort series because I can't see and fracture extending to the other side.

The image looks like a 3D CT scan to me.

Sorry...it was a CT of facial bones with 3D reconstruction.

There is no doubt that this is a tripod fracture bordering on the orbital burst fracture.  The soft tissue swelling on the CT would be impressive, and the patient would look like mike tyson dusted him off with a right lead.

Greg, I am an OT and don't feel out of place in this forum. It is such an informal and fun way to learn. All I can say about this case is oooww, looks like it would hurt. All the comments are like the break room at the hospital or something. Everyone brings something to the discussion and everyone takes something away in terms of learning. Hi, Dr. Wagner. Thanks again for sharing interesting cases. Has anyone commented that you bear a striking resemblence to Dr. Spock? Trudy the OT

Yes...I just got back from Cancun...I also did nights a week ago, I have a case, I just need to organize my thoughts about it.
