I have a BA (liberal arts, 3.75GPA, 1200 GRE). I'm 31 y.o. and considering a career change to P.T.  . Is a MA degree required for most positions? if so, I will be in school for around 6 years and i'll graduate at age 37-38. Is it realistic for me to think about begining a P.T. career so 'late' ?

It's NEVER too late.  If you set your heart on PT then go for it.  Two of my classmates were 48 and 49 with children (one was a single parent with 4 young kids) when they started PT school. They both graduated with me.

I'm 56. I became a licensed massage therapist almost 2 years ago and felt the call to take it further. I'll complete pre-reqs for entry into PT school within the next 2 semesters.  I'll be almost 62 when I graduate as DPT.  Keep on keepin' on!

I think it depends on why you are considering a career change.  If it is monetary then obviously you have to sit down and weigh the cost benefit ratio to making such a change.

If it is to find something you love doing and are passionate about then go for it.
