Justin,

To be fair, Duffy contributes _a lot_ to these boards.  I have to assume much of his response isn't just aimed at you, but my assertions also.  It usually isn't in his character (as I've observed since beginning to read these boards) to post the "angry new grad" style.  Assuming other matters are contribution to him being riled up.

There are many other topics that, unless slip into a PT vs DC rant, are very informative and helpful.

I am also interested in the OCS, and have been pointed in the direction of distance "fellowships" in manual therapy.  One that I have great interest in is through Regis in Denver as there appears to be a big influance from Childs, Cleland, Fritz and others in that vien.  Here is the link:  http://www.regis.edu/rh.asp?page=study.fellowship

Good luck

Holy cow, I just fell off my barstool..........Tom Reeves agreed with me on something!!!

And Jason, your last post was very perceptive. Even though the Steelers were ahead in the game, I was still in a bad mood.  Understand there have only been 2 Steeler coaches since I was 4.  Seeing this new guy on the sideline is like waking up next to a different woman instead of your wife of 38 years.

Justin, or whoever started the thread:  Dude, you need to lighten up.  If you think what some of us were saying stresses you, what will you do when John Ware on EIM abuses you?  And childish?  I think not.  Childish is saying you won't come back here if anybody else picks on you (kind of like "I'll take my football and go home)

Discussion boards need to be terse and direct, and people need to expect challenges.  This is not one of those sites where everybody just pats each other on the back.  Disagrements are expected and almost required, and you better have some tough and thick skin in life, not just here.  So, you are definitely welcomed to stay here, and contribute things so that we may all learn, and so that we may all challenge what we think.

come on Duffy, I've agreed with you at least one or two times before.  You are finally starting to come around to the right way of thinking.

If one does not have the experience, he or she can simply NOT argue as to whether it makes a difference.  How would they know?  What you have to understand, is that it CAN make a difference, but there will always be those for whom it doesnt.  When one grows as a clinician, he looks back at himself at regular intervals to see how he has changed, often laughing at how he used to do things.  For good clinicians, this happens at all levels, I dont care how many letters we add after the initial P and T.
The clinicians who downplay experience will change their tune once they have some.  Its a guarantee.  Not the only factor, obviously, but a factor.

Yep, Shill - you got it.  Justin doesn't "get" it, but he will in about 5 or 6 years.  :)

I am almost embarassed by how I treated my first two years, and even just a few years ago.  If I only had the time, I 'd go back and chance many of the protocols on my site, as they were designed 10 years ago by me, and not completely up to date as to how I currently treat.  I strive to get better and try new things, as I am sure most of us do here, which is why we participate in sites like this.  Justin can be ticked and hate us all now, and hopefully does not run away.....Justin?  Are you there?
