I know Dave at e-rehab personally and he did a great job for us.  For the price, I know you won't find anything better.  He will really help you market your practice.  Our website is gasparpt.com.

Your site looks good!  If you can tell me, what seperates e-rehab from other companies in regards to marketing?  Besides the nice looking website, what are some other marketing ideas/items that e-rehab helped you with?

Is there anything wrong with advertising a physical therapy clinic?  I rarely see ads for PT Clinics and my boss believes that it's "unethical". He's also concerned that this may anger physicians. I fail to see his point and feel ads improve customer awareness and stand to bring in more new patients as healthcare consumers learn more about free choice in the marketplace.  This is especially so looking forward to Vision 2020. I'm not talking about outrageous claims of superiority.....simply getting our name, available services and locations out to the public.  Thanks.

If you give quality care that provides a valuable resource to your community, then you are actually being unethical NOT to advertise, because you are keeping yourselves a secret.

Regarding advertising your practice... I have heard this argument before that people think it is unethical to advertise.  I have a contrary view.  Fact: people don't know what physical therapists do.  Fact: there are other paramedical providers that claim to do what we do but don't have the training.  Fact: unless you have completely cornered your market, there are other practices that will compete and advertise.

In my opinion, there is nothing wrong with advertising.  If no one knows what you do and you have a valuable service to offer your community, is it unethical if you do not advertise this service?  It is time for our profession to step up and own the valuable services we offer.  Advertise, do some PR, communicate with physicians and your community what you can do that no one else can offer.

I worked at 2 separate places that used outside companies for marketing plans.  They were both very expensive, and neither produced results that were worth what they charged.  I have no exprience with the company you have referrenced though.  I definately agree that a fairly aggressive marketing plan is needed in our very competitive market.  I am always searching for good marketing ideas.  I have found very little success with Dr. lunches, and visiting the front office staff.
