Truly? None. It can be done right out of school. Not common, not without BIG risks! I know of three more or less local PTs who did it right out of University (one by himself, and two in another). Worked part-time locum for three months while building their own clinics in a new stripmall and a new medical building. In a city with many clinics. They built near newly developed lands for housing, with new retail and commercial. Marketing was by flyer door-to-door at the residences, by letter to the health and safety manager at businesses, by billboard ad for a month, AND by extensive MD office visits. A LOT of work - but it is now 11 years and 6 years later for those clinics and they are still doing well... So much depends on where you want to be, what the others are in your target-area, what country you're in, what state etc etc.
