Interesting thread to read. I have had success when treating OS with quad stretching, icing after any activity that might be provocative, and renting out a microcurrent unit for use until the growth spurts stop. No data just no failures that I am aware of. Activity is limited only by pain.
I wish I grew fast enough to get OS, never had a leg ache, short . . . I coulda been one of the greats . . . .

Tom,
Thanks for the reply. I understand the comment about not having the "opportunity" to experience the difficulties associated with fast growth.
I had some other PTs suggest kinesiotaping to decrease the pain. Anyone here have any luck with this?
