hi i urgently need to know how to calculate one repitition maximum for eccentric sterngth training in the clinical setting without using hi tec gadgetry!??!

Why would you want to do a 1 repetition maximum in a clinical setting?

Are there any activities that patient will require such amount of weights in their activities of daily living. Testing of 1 RM is very difficult for a rehab setting especially if they are not familiar to very high loads.

typically it makes sense to reproduce the patients sympoms with eccentric loading but for the patient to not remain worse as a result of the contraction . that is in order for the exercise to be effective
