Yogi, that was hilarious...your description of Alex! Maybe we should post links to pictures or something to that effect. Better yet, submit pictures of everyone making an array of facial expressions (i.e. from angry and pissed off to smiling) so we'll know how one looks when responding to a thread.

Here's me in school during pediatrics. I'm the very balding lad with the kiddo on the ball.

Here I am again (a few photos) during our pilot study teaching a beautiful blonde (my wife) how to perform a 'flossing' at the elbow. Notice the Dallas Stars shirt she's wearing. Man do I love her! :)

Chris, I pictured you almost exactly like that!
I also thought Army was a female, and got really confused when she disappeared and this Alex guy came into the picture.
The only people I've seen are Barrett and Jason S. thanks to his DNF exercises (that was you, wasn't it?)
Nari, I picture middle aged, skinny because she's hyperactive, dark brown hair shoulder length.
Diane, I pictured like she described.
I think SJ is a male, because he has "balls" and is very opinionated, probably middle aged with gray-blonde hair and tall.
I figured Yogi was male because of his weird sense of humor.
I can't picture Jon Newman except that he must have a large cranium, but I'm guessing brown eyes and brown hair, not too tall, and wears glasses.
This is fun.

yogi,
funny that you brought up this thread, i was wondering just today how often people post or look through this website. i was thinking today that i need to set a regular time to read the posts here and not during work hours ( it gets in the way of me doing documentation, household chores, and reading).
oakspt,
i have been reading this forum, since bobcat days and i do miss reading his posts. i do wonder what happened to him/her.
besides knowing how barrett looks like, i already know how jason looks. ;)

i do think it would be a fun game to trying to get as close as possible to how everyone looks like.

charles,
like you, i'm more of a reader than a poster. and i've learned a lot since bobcat days just from reading.

diane,
are you THE diane lee, author of the pelvic girdle book? i believe that i've read somewhere in this forum that you are that person. i may be wrong.

I'm a typical non-poster I guess...I usually spend a few minutes perusing the site daily.

I love the info I find on here and feel like I'm a better therapist because of this site because I've become much more skeptical of the status quo in our profession. I've always been one to be a bit of a journal geek but find myself taking more interest in those as well since I logged on for the first time.

The reason I don't post too often I'm afraid is time. I don't always have the time to add my two cents worth at work, and I have 5 kids at home so forget logging on from there!

:) Hope you can forgive my voyeuristic tendencies!

Hi Sara,

I appreciate the remark but if my cranium is disproportionate, it certainly isn't due to my brain. I'm about as average as a guy gets. If anything is special about me it is that I'm interested in what smart people are interested in despite not actually being all that gifted myself. I can guarantee you that I'm a middle of the pack kind of guy. Every time I work on any of those brain puzzles you find in magazines I walk away feeling awful. I would encourage any readers out there to go ahead and write. You'd be suprised how smart you may sound when you have time to compose your thoughts. Of course you may hang yourself--I've done it plenty of times yet I'm alive to tell about it.

I've got a side topic. How many posts are written but never sent?

jon

What do we look like?

Alex - lovely description, but WAY way off. Add another 30 years or so, sort of blondey-browny hair, average height, skinnyish....blueish eyes.
I never pictured you as female!
And never saw Yogi as female either!!

SJ -definitely female...dark short hair, dark eyes, and for some reason, short stature.

Jason - tall, blonde, thirtysomething, possibly cropped hair, moves fast.

Sarah - slender, blonde, long hair, late twenties??

jon - a mystery; doubt if cranium is excessive, but brain operates on all 49 cylinders...skinny, dark hair, possibly a lot of it....

Scott - what is your image of me??

Barrett I know from his website - but suspect he is about 7 feet tall....

Can't see any fat peole on this forum - maybe wrong..

Ditto on the Cat... I miss him. Did he ever know his biomechanics and mathematics!?! I believe he got booted way back ago. I can't even remember what he posted... probably something against chiropractors. He didn't mince his words. I do think he intimidated quite a few posters though. Cat... if you are out there and only lurking - fire off a private message to me, I'd love to hear what's going on in that lab! I for one definitely miss your humor, comments, thoughts and just being grounded into reality.

Last I knew, I wasn't male. Dishwater blonde hair. Bue-green eyes. I'm definitely not tall and I'm definitely not stocky. I've learned to have "balls" and convey confidence because of being short and small and looking younger than most would guess me to be. I look folks in the eye and tell them what I think.

I haven't really put any thought into what any one that posts here actually looks like. Never really thought about it, I guess. Bobcat is really the only one that I had hoped to meet - just so I could pull his tail a few times and debate over the SIJ or who knows what. A cat has 9 lives though, so maybe one day the cat'll come back?

I tend to send the posts I write.... way back when I began posting though, Drew would irritate the heck out of me, and half the time or actually most of the time I'd delete whatever I had chosen to post because I decided I was being childish and posting based on an emotional response, versus being tactful and completely objective. And that is one way in which I believe I have grown - I honestly don't let anything that is posted bother me to the degree that it used to. I guess I've learned to think to myself, "so what?" and leave it at that.

Sorry SJ :) You know, we might actually have met somewhere and not known it, being in the same state and all.

Nari: close, but my hair color is more reddish and very curly, and I am just barely in my thirties :) Patients used to comment at least once a week how I resemble a famous Australian actress...I don't see it, except that I am very pale. Of course, now that she's had some plastic surgery and turned into a twig, no one says that anymore. :)

I think Drew is probably short, blonde hair, blue eyes.

On this forum, I have sent everything I have written, but on other forums I have scrapped quite a few..had the intuitive feeling I would tread rather heavily on soft toes. I don't set out to do that, but it does happen...

Sarah - I agree with your image of Drew.

Crap, someone is associating me with that stupid picture I put on my site. My wife says I look like an idiot, and was one of the reasons she never wanted to date me originally.

I did meet Barrett when he came to town to talk to my company one time....I wanted to get on his butt about his posture, but figured I couldn't handle the verbage bombardment I would have recieved.

SJ......I have a sneaking suspicion you are a hottie.

I think I am the last one on this forum to find ot that Alex is/was Army PT....was wondering what happened to him and how Alex got his job!

Still would be nice to get everybody into a bar and have a good time, but it appears we are so spread out.

John, I just looked at your picture for the first time today, and thought, he looks like a TV personality or something. Not that there's anything wrong with that ;)

Ugh, that goofy bouffant hair-do...this was mid-nineties stuff, mind you. Time for a change, so will have to dig something up.

At least you have hair Duff! I'm thinking of transferring some of my back hair ...or maybe not. Am I the only one in the DFW metroplex? No one wants any **** beer or what?

Chris, I didn't really want to hear that. Brings up scary images first thing in the morning :)

I miss Bobcat as well. From what I remember, he had a very abrasive communication style. In fact, I think he was the reason the ban rule came into effect. He was however usually correct and had real substance to his posts. Somehow that made his bad attitude easier to take. I think he is the only person to date who has been able to point out an outright flaw in any of my posts.

mcap doesn't post very often anymore. Too busy with the PhD, I guess. I don't post as much anymore either. I don't even read half of the threads.

Phil, I found out about this site from PTHER (or maybe Physio) as well. While I don't remember who I heard about it from, I bet it probably was Barrett.

I read this site several times a week - always ortho and radiology, and some others if I have time. I'm pretty isolated where I work, and the posts here keep me questioning and researching. I don't feel I have much to contribute, I still have so much to learn. Thanks to those who do post.

I also check out PTupdate, noigroup and ortholinx. Are there other sites some of you find worth your time?

I've been reading frequently and posting less than I would like. I often start responses but then delete them, mostly because I lose my train of thought. I think I joined in 2000. I also found Bobcat's posts educational, amusing,a nd abrasive at the same time (and at times Barrett's also, in a good way).

Duffy, I think you may be right.

If you were transported back to the 60s, you would be skinned alive by the skinheads...
but I recall that the latter did have some downfalls in the streets from the rockers. ;)
