Jason summed up really well exactly how I feel in reference to upper cervical manips. However, I still feel that mobs/METs still provide better results, in my opinion, than manipulation. Manipulating allows the patient, in most instances, immediate improvement in motion, but there is still the issue of motor control and the likelihood that the hypomobile/facilitated segment will return to it's previous state because that's where it has been and likes to be.

In my limited experience, it seems that mobs/METs kill 2 birds with one stone. Following any mob/MET technique, you will see more motion as well as improved motor control. There are times when we run into 'motor morons'...the patients that just can't seem to get it. Anyways, just my 2 cents. :)
