Trackgirl, Check with your local Air Force recruiter. When I was in school (91-93) they were looking for PT's desperately. They actually flew a group of us from Wisconsin to Florida to see what it would be like. In the private sector, you can also potentially get a "sign on bonus" which would require you to work with a certain company for a year or more, and they would give you a lump sum of money, which would pay for some or part of your schooling. I did this for my first year, with a company called Baxter, which was bought out a couple of times and the clinic I worked at eventually became a Healthsouth clinic.Despite the assembly line characteristics of the job, it was good exerience for a year, and I have since returned to a Hospital Outpatient setting. Any way, there are some thoughts for you.
