Such Noble PT's

People speak of being a PT for change lives. Fantastic, go for it; however, considering what all of this intelligent PT's have put themselves to get where they are and the willingness to research and improve their skills, income simply doesn't equate with said efforts. People who put forth the effort should be rewarded reasonably. Caring for a family on one income and having a hope to afford an occassional vacation should be expected in our profession. As noble as one can be, this doesn't mean one should simply roll over and let others take advantage of our good nature. Certainly playing a positive role in caring for others is important, so too is being paid what one is worth. We can't be push-overs or we'll keep being pushed to the point of signficant decline; perhaps worse.
