Hello,
The following was taken from."Therapeutic Exercise: Moving Toward Function", by Hall and Brody 1999: pg. 88,170,255

Tissues remodel themselves if enough stress has been put on them.

If you have taken exercise physiology, the same principle should be in the text book you used for the class.
