MAustin -> Exercise Prescription (March 15, 2000 4:49:00 PM)

I am a PT student who is doing a project on exercise prescription. I was presented with a 45 year old male, weighing 70 kg. He is 5'6" and has a RHR 104 bpm and a max HR of 138 bpm. His resting blood pressure is 140/80 while standing. I am supposed to use the 6 minute treadmill walk test to assess his VO2. I cannot find any literature for the test. It would be very helpful if anyone had any ideas for treatment or any ideas as to where to find the 6 minute treadmill walk test.

Performing a web search with a decent engine will yield more information than you could possibly want; caveat emptor.

Bobcat

Which search engines do you recommend?

I hate the ones that recommend only the sites that are the most popular or have paid to "partner" with them.
