BE CAUTIOUS!! DO NOT RELY SOLELY ON THE INTERNET!!!!!!!!!!
Websites are NOT peer-reviewed and as such, ANYONE can post ANYTHING up on a web-site, accurate or not. This means that students and clinicians alike MUST realize that the Internet, although a good source of supplemental information CANNOT and should not ever replace the time tested methods for scientific inquiry and clinical application of new knowledge . . . namely the scientific method.
Fortunately, MEDLINE is a peer-reviewed database, and is available FOR FREE on the internet at: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/PubMed/
Use the search term, including quotes:
"Inclusion Body Myositis"
You should generate a listing of 388 peer-reviewed articles, not all are directly applicable, and not all are clinical trials, but search through some of the abstracts and you should get some good info.
Once you look through a few of these articles, RehabEdge members would appreciate a review of your findings. Would you be so kind as to reprint your findings for next month's topic in the journal review club?
STICK WITH THE FACTS, and GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR ASSIGNMENT!!!
