In your experience, will a UCBL inhibit dorsiflexion? I have a little one who has a foot slap gait now since wearing them.

i can't see why it would. i've never seen that. maybe it's a more sensory based based response from the child. what is their diagnosis? how old are they?

Sorry, my computer crashed. Since my post about the child with the foot slap gait, mom has decided against using the UCBL's. Foot slap is gone. Forefoot pronation still present, Doc has agreed to SMO's. I think that he had difficulty rolling off of his toe and he compensated by slapping the foot. What do you think?

Child was 27 months old. He does have alot of sensory issues.
