JLS_PT_OCS -> Home Manual Therapy Table (February 17, 2005 8:18:00 AM)

Hi everyone.

I am in the market to buy a table to keep at home for eval/treatment of family members.
Especially for manual therapy.

It needn't be more than a folding, adjustable height "massage type" table, but the ones I have seen are either rickety looking or way too expensive.

Any ideas or experience on a good table for home use?

Thanking you in advance...
Jason.

Sorry for the short reply but i hit the send button by accident. I don't know if they have Costcos or Sams where you live, but they have some very reasonable and comfortable tables for sale there. I believe around a $250. Some have the face crate built into the table if you need that.

hope that helps

p.s- i may start a dpt program this spring

Jason,

Ditto on the Ebay comment. I was looking for massage chairs last week and saw some good deals on what seemed to be quality stuff.

I just opened a new outpatient clinic and saved nearly $10K on tables and chairs, computer stuff, and the like.

If you do find something you like, make sure to leave me some good feedback :)

I just bought one at our local Sams Club and I love it. Very padded, sturdy, adjustable and I think it was $220. I also got a table off e-bay that I use for heavier patients (metal padded plinth with a headrest that tilts up) for about $200.
Jason, my first thought when I set up my massage table was "its so light, is it going to hold up?" but I haven't had any trouble.

I've been there, and seen them. But I guess they all just look really rickety and unstable.
If everyone else's feedback is right, I just need to bite the bullet and pick one up.

Anyone feel comfortable posting their brand/model name they got and pros/cons?
