I still don't understand. Physical therapy for spinal cord injury? For neurodevelopmental pediatrics? For post-stroke? For traumatic brain injury?

Your question is still too broad for us to help you.

In my opinion, that's okay if you don't understand the principle of Bobath technique.

Spend more time reading Shepard and Carr with motor control and motor learning. And when it comes to CVA, the forced use (contraint induced use) seems to be giving decent outcomes. Forced usage of the involved upper extremity isn't for every patient though - the patient and family need to be committed.

If you can't find anything by Shepard and Carr in Bangkok, well... find a good sports related book that teaches one how to coach kids on learning the techniques in a sport to be successful. In my opinion there is a good parallel between how one learns the various components of playing a particular sport and how one learns to function.

I agree with SJBird - Shepherd and Carr are accepted in many countries now, and their rationale is strong.
Bobath is the original method, from which Shepherd and Carr developed their work.

Soravee, neurology is difficult to learn from a book - if you can get to a course, it would make a big difference to you.

Good luck

"If you can't find anything by Shepard and Carr in Bangkok, well..."

Do a search on Amazon dot com they got the books and I'm convinced they ship to Bangkok.
