It is with great sadness that I relay information Mary Quinton's passage. We should all feel very grateful for her wonderful gifts and her willingness to share them with our profession.

For those of you who didn't Mary or her legacy, She was trained by Karl and Berta Bobath. It was she who expanded upon the work of the Bobath's (which at the time was limited primarily to reflex inhibition through head positioning and reflex inhibiting postures), to include handling techniques. It was Mary, not the Bobaths, who was responsible for the handling techniques that we commonly think of as NDT. Her theories have remained relatively unchanged over the years, and are still the cornerstone of the NDT theory.
