Anyone have suggestions for home exercise pools?  I have a client who is planning to have one installed but wonders what the is the "best" pool.  I have experience with the Endless Pool but he wonders about others.  Specifically interested in Swim-Ex.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Get info from PT's who have them (especially repair issues and breakdowns, and routine maintenance ease) and from regular people as well....I am sure there are forums out there where people discuss the pros and cons.

Here is what I always suggest to those interested:  First, determine that you will really use this expensive product. How many treadmills and exercise bikes get used for 2 months and then become laundry hooks?

A few years back I almost purchased a house with an indoor pool.   Very cool room, but the pool was only 4 feet deep, and a circle with a diameter about 15 feet.  So, could not swim laps, and could not tread water or wear an aqua vest.  I purchased a harness with an elastic cord designed for swim training, took it over, hooked onto the ladder, and swam against the tether.......worked quite well, and was an easy $25 method to test the efficacy.

The same type of pool can be purchased above ground from any WalMart, for a very small fee.  They can set up in their yard, use the tether, and for a few hundred bucks determine if the huge expense of an endless pool at home is really a good investment on their part.
