Anyone out there experiencing the CPT code for manual therapy being a "catch all" for techniques? I know someone who uses a magnetic massager on people and billing it under manual therapy.(It is a device you can buy from a magnet distributer, has no programable settings, is battery/plug-in operated and not FDA approved as a medical device). Regardless of how I feel about this (bogus treatment) shouldn't it be listed as "unlisted procedure"?
