I injured my elbow over a month ago doing tricep ****** curls. It basically hurts at the tip of the elbow, not bad....just enough to tell me its tender if I use the arm overhead or bump it. I have tried taking it easy, but it just doesnt seem to get any better. Like I said its the tip of the elbow that seems to be sensitive, it doesnt seem to be anything internal.....almost like the bone itself is hurt?

Brandon...any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hey Brandon welcome back.

Try www.apta.org and click on "Find a PT" at the top of the page.
:)

Tip of elbow/olecranon pain is common when the elbow joint has been injured. Unless you fell on it, you probably have not injured that. Certainly things like olecranon bursitis should be considered also....can't do much over the internet unfortunately...let us know how it goes...and get that elbow checked out!
:)

Can you raise your elbow over your head? It should be seen by an MD, who may refer you to an orthopedist to look at it more closely.

FlaorthoPT....lol, and I need medication for being overactive too!! Jason thanks for the welcome....I was happy to see my squat question last time had you guys talking for monthes:D

Yeah I can move it everywhere, no loss of motion infact I got frustrated today and did a light workout and it stops hurting at all after like 1-2 warm ups. My thinking is that I tried babying it...and I know tendons/ligaments dont get alot of bloodflow...so gentle working out might be better. The funniest thing (to me) is that it starts hurting when I walk (arm hanging and swinging relaxed) or when I wake up....its simply delicate to the touch. I would say it would hurt to rest on my elbow.
