I am a PT working in a long term acute care facility. I have to develop a clinical competancy for PTs and PTAs. Does anyone have one that they would like to share?

Could the PTET (Physical Therapy Evaluation Tool) offer some assistance in that regard? It's also going to be used to help create personal profiles for those PT's looking to self-assess and complete a transitional DPT and not wanting to take courses on subjects learned by professional experience.

It should be out this month.

We have to do competencies quarterly in our facility. This quarter we're going to do an inservice on assessing fall risk in the elderly. Get up and go test and also Tinnetti's. We have also done our hospital's Abuse and Neglect Policy, focusing on signs of abuse and neglect in the elderly and how it is reported. This is a good one to cover "age specific" that JCAHO loves.
