Greetings to all, I am a physiotherapist working in a neuro ward. Recently I have a teenager admitted due to multiple falls and general stiffness. He is 16 this year and was diagnosed with "mild" CP at 3 year old. On examination, he has good power on his upper limbs but a grade of 2-3 for lower limb and lower trunk. ROM is grossly intact except for tight tendon achilles bilaterally. Sensory wise, he has slight impaired sensation on the dorsum of his left foot. His gait is typical CP gait with his hip internally rotated, knee flexed and foot inverted. His MRI spine shows no adnormality but the doctors have diagnosed him as having sensory polyneuropathy. Now I am puzzled with the diagnosis? Which is which? Also, the treatment I am giving him is lots of stretches, standing exercise and ski squats against the wall to increase his muscle strength. Does anyone has any suggestions for my treatment?

Do you have any records which may show how much change in total body length and segmental extremity length your patient may have experienced the past few months?
