I am about to open a new private practice...I am unsure what billing/mgmt software to use. Can anyone who is using PTOS or Turbo PT please tell me some pros and cons. And if anyone can recommend one of these or another it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Steve

Hello,
Although I have never used billing/management software, I do believe I can tell you where you can find more like them, in addition to the two you previously mentioned.

If you look at the August 2003 PT Magazine, hopefully available online, or find someone who gets it as a member, you will find categories of subjects, including software. You will see a brief summary of their products and contact/web/email information where you can get more info.

Hope this helps.

http://www.visionarymedical.com/index.html

We use Visionary Medical for our billing software and Lytec for our scheduling. We have been pleased with both. Visionary was much cheaper and it is simple to use.

Good luck with your practice.

We are using PTOS and I feel it is very expenssive and the help sucks even after paying $700.00 per year. Scheduling module is extra!, networking within your office is extra! everyting is extra just like buying a european sports car! If this visionary soft ware is good I'll think of buying it myself. What is the price? and is everything add-on extra? Alas! in the end it is what you do with the billing software i.e. how fast can your billing staff bring in the money?! I have had very expensive soft ware in the past and lousy staff and also had cheap software like Medisoft and had excellent collection due to hardworking staff......

My office just purchased a software called Physical Therapy Advantage. This software is inexpensive and did everything. I looked at PTOS and Turbo, this Advantage software was much easier to use.

The compnay that makes it is:

Just my two cents.

DB Consultants, Inc. has software solutions designed to integrate with Appointments Pro, REDOC and more. This integration dramatically reduces the burden on office staff and you.

It takes some learning but talk to some of our references and they'll never go back to their old way of doing things. Neither will you if you try it!

To goodlooks58 I say,

Imagine what would be if you gave your excellent staff the best tools to work with?

Is your excellent staff still hand keying charges? (at whatever you pay them per hour...)
