Hi, This is primarily addressed to the manual therapists out there who employ the more "gentler" ways of handling--Barrett, et al. I'm sure that some of you use backround music to blend with/facilitate your work. How about sharing your favorite selections with the group. A patient brought in a compilation of backround music from Laurel & Hardy movies/shorts. Sure did bring a lot of smiles.

I've found Yanni, Peter Tesh, and Tubular Bells (minus the theme to the Exhorcist) to be VERY relaxing. Also, if you enter the search string "relaxation" into the audio database at www.kazaa.com you will come up with a SLEW of audio files that you'd never considered. Burn 'em to disc and Viola!

Be very careful with kazaa. I have heard versions of it contain spyware (take over your computer ware might be more accurate). I'm not sure if this has been removed. I do believe that there are versions without the spyware but they might not be by kazaa. You can find info on this at www.slashdot.com

Drew,
Do you mean "John" Tesh and not Peter? If you do-I can't believe it. I'm just hoping there's a Peter Tesh out there in order to restore my faith. If not, it just proves that genius often has a narrow way of expressing itself at times.
Gary,
My brother-in-law raises sheep in Pennsylvania. He once told me that if a new would-be shepherd moved into the area and he grew to like him, he'd go over one day with a list of people "he should never buy sheep from."
In that spirit, I'd like to tell you: nothing by the Stones or Def Leopard.
Okay, enough. Seriously, the many CDs by Lori Line are something my patients really enjoy. Danny Wright is also good and Kevin Kern.
