Does someone know the CMS rule regarding the provision of Physical Therapy wound treatment during a nursing qualified medicare A stay. Case in point, physician has recommended PT intervention for wound care though the wound is not older than 30 days. Our facility has offered to pay fee for service since Med A will not cover the treatment. We still are providing OT/PT/ST interventions for prior level of function.
