Hello Everyone,
I have been debating a question that will soon be imposed on me come the end of this year. Should I or shouldn't I work part-time, if I can find it, and study for the boards at the same time or should I study full time for the boards? Naturally, I want to take the boards as soon as it becomes available and not waste time. What are your suggestions and/or experience with this matter? Your input would greatly appreciated.

Hello,
I assume that you already knew what your weaknessess were before you reviewed. However, I feel that my weaknessess span a couple of topics, more than I can review in one day before the test. I'm taking it slow and easy. If you had to review a lot of material, what would you have used? Your notes or one of the reviews sold in bookstores? Has anyone else gone through the same thing? Hope to hear from everyone.

From what I hear,
It is better to work full time and then do as the previous person said, take two days off and study. Since Im taking the boards in early March, this is the advice Im going to follow. Also I heard that the O'Sullivan course is priceless. Good luck.

well, it all depends on the type of learner you are.. me, I could NEVER have sat for 2 days straight and reviewed an entire review book and take practice exams... I gave myself about 2 months.. I worked at a daycare during that time.. although i was applying for PT positions and would of taken one if the opportunity came up. Yet for me, I made myself study say 1-2 hrs a nite, taking off here and there... but that worked better for me. Then about 2 days before I just took two days to review my pile of stuff that I had trouble with and went in and took it. That's what worked for me... and believe me I was not an anal study freak either... I just didn't want to get too stressed out. And the O'Sullivan text review is what got me through it, highly recommend it!
