We are in the market for a new low-boy whirlpool tank. The vendors are pushing fiberglass tanks, however we only have stainless steel presently. Does anyone have/currently use figerglass tubs? We are just unsure of the durability, since we operate 7 days a week. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

I can't imagine fiberglass being superior to stainless, especially when it comes to infection control. Stainless is durable and can take the scrubbing, minimizing pits and grooves that could harbor germs. Fiberglass may not. A crack or chip could expose the fibrous inner material, and regular plastic may be better. We have a TheraPed plastic whirlpool in addition to the stainless low-boys, and all have held up quite well.
