Overall, I thought the olympics were great. I enjoyed watching Phelps win 8 gold medals, and the mens volleyball team that had an incentive to win, despite what happened to their coach's relatives. There were clear winners and their were upsets, lessons to think about for 4 years and then get to do it again in London in 2012, even better than before. What did you like, dislike about the olympics? Final thoughts?

If Torres (swimmer) can compete at 41 AND take 2nd, then age doesn't necessarily matter.  That means next year I CAN have a better 1/2 mile swim time!  LOL

we will start seeing taller sprinters and there must be something in the water in Jamaica - Usain was as amazing as phelps

Phelps broke records but had the new suits which provided more bouancy, lessened drag, etc.  Usain just ran - shirt flapping in the breeze and dominated the competition - simply amazing

Usain Bolt was truly amazing!!!  I would love to see him in the 400 meter and see if he could sweep all 3 sprint events.  I found this analysis of the 100 meter final very interesting.

Yes,  I agree with Bolt's amazing performance. If the weather is right, we all know that he will break the 100 meter record again, if he put the same effort as he did in the 200 meter, going all out. Its just a matter of time.
