What is the meaning of:

"Protected weight bearing" ?
Dx is hip pain with tear in acetabular labrum.

I have not seen this type of terminology. I usually hear of, WBAT (weight bearing as tolerated), NWB (non-weight bearing), TTWB (toe touch weight bearing), TDWB (touch down weight bearing), PWB (partial weight bearing). I would get this clarified by the MD.

Most likely same as Partial WB, I agree with JMA to get MD's clarification.
