Just wondering if anyone is running into the same paperwork nightmare with United Health Care?? It seems UHC is basing the decision on whether to allow further PT visits on primarily patient questionaire/functional outcome measure. On the functional questionaire if the patient scores too well or not well enough they are cut off or severly limited in visits. Do others feel this way or is it me??

The ACA is currently in a lawsuit with ACN for systematically denying care and reprimanding providers for being outliers (seeing patients more than 5 visits).
The APTA might want to check that out, collect data from PTs across the nation, and hook up with the ACA to put these bastards in their place. This could set an important precedent. If ACN wins, then other companies will follow suit and we'll all be left out in the cold and forced to turn all cash. If we can win, then it will send a message to the other insurance companies.
Actually, right now it is the ACA and several state chiro associations.
