I am a second year Physiotherapy student studying at Sheffield Hallam Uni in the UK. Towards the end of my 3rd year (March 2004) I am given the option to do a two week elective block. I am very keen to use this time to do clinical practice in the USA. The problem is I don't know where to start. I'm interested in neurological physiotherapy, I have a placement in burns and plastics next summer which I'm looking forward to and I'm taking accupunture next year as an optional module. Therefore it would be interesting to tie an elective block in with one of these specialities. I would be extremely grateful if anyone can give me advice on: organisations I could contact, hospitals/rehabilitation centres specialising in the above - in fact, any advice on how to go about finding somewhere to do my elective block would be really useful!!! Thankyou, Rose.
