I need that article... signs and symptoms and treatment. I need to substantiate my thoughts on a patient with a physician I do not know. The patient I am supposed to be treating has a thoracic vertebral osteophyte (with spinal cord compression and blockage of cerebral spinal fluid via diagnostic testing of MRI in 2003) with mild upper motor neuron symptoms that were missed and not assessed for by the referring physician.

Here's some of the info. Sorry I can't give the whole article. From the article you cited above:
"Our patient was a 63-year-old male referred to our unit after he presented to the neurosciences department 3 months earlier with symptoms of myelopathy. He had a history of neck pain, which proved to be misleading in this patient. Magnetic resonance imaging scans of the cervical spine failed to reveal any significant pathology. He had a gradually worsening ataxic gait. Detailed neurologic examination revealed that he had Grade 4 power (MRC scale) below the level of the knees and exaggerated deep tendon reflexes. His bladder and bowel functions were intact. His Japanese Orthopedic Association score for myelopathy was 8 (out of 11). 6 Plain films of the thoracic spine showed anterior osteophytes at the T9-T10 level."
"Bilateral laminectomy at the T9 vertebra was performed using a high-speed burr after excising the spinous process."
"After surgery, the patient recovered uneventfully. The functional and neurologic recovery was complete, and he regained full power of the limbs and was sent home on the fifth day."
"The patient was reviewed in the outpatient clinic at 6 weeks, 3 months, 6 months, and 12 months. At the recent 18-month follow-up, he had no back pain, and he demonstrated no neurologic impairment."
