Has anybody heard any news as to whether the Medicare Cap Exemptions will be extended beyond the June 30, 2008 stated in the The Medicare, Medicaid, and SCHIP Extension Act of 2007?

It is my understanding that Medicare will continue to make exceptions for

1.      1:   Medical records fully document functional gains are being made & that it is necessary
2.     2:    Charges that go past the cap are submitted with the KX modifier

W  Would anybody like to elaborate on this one?
