I've always had the feeling that those hip abduction braces mostly make people's lives sort of miserable without much added value. Are your MD's still ordering them?

They are still being ordered here. I actually use the brace as a deterrent. I do a lot of pre-ops for the THAs, and I say.."Remember these dislocation precautions...yadda yadda yadda...because if you do dislocate, you will have to wear this hideously large, warm brace that drastically limits your mobility". Not sure if it works, but maybe....
